I suppose I didn't expect much of this summer, because of having a big party and vacation in the middle of it that sucked up my spare time most of the spring. That's done and over, Robin and I are now married and the kids had a grand familymoon, and I'm finding that what's left is a lot of lazy summer days. It's delightful. I'm reading mythpunk, making pottery, and watching the kids do all sorts of cool stuff that they dream up entirely themselves.
My only regret is that I gave up on 100HomeEdDays when I hit a patch of indecision about what to do with non-custodial days. Seeing all the nifty projects the kids are getting up to, though, I think I should keep on. Or start over. So from August 1 I'm going to do it again, starting from Day 1, and just not count days when they are at their dad's.
